History Comes To Life!

Join Friends Of the Karshner Museum the biographical documentary play The Quintessential Karshners.

An evening with Dr. and Mrs. Karshner. Actors will portray the couple and tell of their adventures from around the world and as prominent history makers in the Pacific Northwest, especially the town of Puyallup.  Discover the important role Dr. & Mrs. Karshner played in the history of Puyallup at the turn of the twentieth century. From great personal tragedy to founding the city’s first hospital, the Karshner’s lived anything but an ordinary life.

Part of the "Evenings at the Museum" presented by the Friends of the Karshner Museum.

This play is a gift to Puyallup as well as Washington State’s history. And, the Friends Of the Karshner Museum are excited to share it with you!

Do you want to learn more about the music being performed by Puyallup’s resident chamber orchestra this season? The fourth in the series of pre-concert talks called Music Off the Shelves.


Designed for music lovers of all ages, Music Off the Shelves showcases the music offered during the 2012 NW Sinfonietta season. The February 28th presentation by Dr. Kenneth Owen, Professor of Music at Pierce College, will provide the story behind one of the greatest violin concertos ever composed, Tchaikovsky’s Violin Concerto. Music by Beethoven and Schubert’s Symphony #4 will also be discussed for your enhanced music experience.  Music by all three composers will be performed by the Northwest Sinfonietta on March 18th at the Pioneer Park Pavilion.

All pre-concert talks are free to the public..  No reservation is required.
