Tapestry Singers is an adult community choir based in Puyallup, Washington and a proud member of Valley Arts United, a registered non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the arts in Pierce County. Tapestry performs by request at local functions and presents three concerts each year. We are currently under the direction of Mr. Maynard Hedegaard, and accompanied by Ms. Sheryll Rosevear.
Aside from performing and promoting the enjoyment of vocal music in the local community, Tapestry maintains a community service focus. Dress rehearsals are regularly scheduled at local retirement and nursing homes, and a spring benefit concert is coordinated with other local choirs with all proceeds given to the Puyallup Valley FISH Food Bank. Tapestry is also the proud sponsor of annual music scholarships for Emerald Ridge high school students.
Tapestry recruits twice each year for new members and will have openings for the spring concert season in January 2010. Practice is held weekly on Wednesday evenings at Kalles Junior High School in Puyallup from September through May. If you have a musical background and would like more information about joining Tapestry, or if you are interested in having us perform for your special event please contact Tapestry Board Secretary, Shannon Walker (253) 864-6275.
Rehearsals are 7 PM on Wednesdays directed by Maynard Hedegaard. For additional information contact:
