Valley Arts United is very busy this month developing new art opportunities for you!

Please put Aug. 14 on your calendar. Come join us in Pioneer Park 10 am to 4 pm for “Arts in the Park”!! There will be artists in action, art for sale, and interactive art activities for all ages, as well as, dance performances and classical music performances. The Northwest Sinfonietta Quintet will be performing “Peter and the Wolf” and “Carnival of the Animals” with special narration by mayor Kathy Turner. They will also have a “petting zoo” of their instruments especially for children. Please join us for this fun-filled day!!!

We also are working on the opening of our new cooperative art gallery, Gallery Three. If you’ve noticed, the dividing wall is finally up, so we can begin finishing out the ceiling, floors and walls. We will have more information about this out at the Aug. 14th art fair. However, our grand opening will be in early Fall.

Also, don’t forget to check out the ongoing art galleries in the Activity Center and on the fifth floor of City Hall. We are always featuring interesting artists from local communities.
